Computer Access & Email Account Requests

Request for accounts which provide computer access to network resources and email is sourced via authorized onboarding processing departments. Below are details on how this works and who you need to contact if you have this need.

Human Resources  as well as other onboarding processing areas (Research Foundation, ROTC, Adult Education, Alumni Association) will automatically apply for computer & email accounts as a result of the onboarding process for all Tax Levy and non-Tax Levy appointments, including POI's (Person of Interest), weather created in the Human Capital Management system of CUNYfirst or not.

This procedure will insure that only one source of personnel information exist for any request requiring email or network ID’s. It will also provide a level of accuracy streamlining the process of who is authorized to make these types of security request as part of the onboarding process.

If you are one of the onboarding processing areas mentioned above request for Network & Email accounts can be done using the YConnect Self Service system by an authorized representative of these offices. For more information on YConnect visit the YConnect webpage.

If you are new to the College and are authorized for computer access and email have your immediate manager follow up with one of the onboarding processing areas for a status on the creation of these accounts.
