Federal Aid
Several financial aid programs exist to help students offset the cost of attendance at York College. These include federal grants, programs for part-time study, work-study, programs for veterans, loans, and scholarships.
Apply for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application is free, so be on your guard when searching for the FAFSA application: Filers should make sure that they use only the official Department of Education site.
2025–2026 FAFSA Dealines
Priority Deadlines to Submit Verification Documentation for the 2025–2026 FAFSA
Students must be registered for the term of submission and have fully submitted all required documentation by the date according to their last term of attendance.
- Summer 2025 deadline is August 31, 2025
- Fall 2025 deadline is December 1, 2025
- Spring 2026 deadline is May 16, 2026
The 2026–2027 FAFSA is now available.
Note: All students should apply for financial aid every year. Students who missed the financial aid priority deadline are still encouraged to file the FAFSA and will be considered for federal student aid, if eligible, but institutional funds become increasingly limited and there is no guarantee that it will be available on your account by the time the bursar bill becomes due.
Note: Established federal processing deadlines prohibit the college from processing a submitted FAFSA after the student's last date of enrollment. Students who have not filed a FAFSA for the 2025-2026 academic year and who are no longer enrolled for the academic year may have missed the deadline to be considered for Federal Student Aid programs for the 2025-2026 academic year.
