Withdrawals and Return of Federal Funds
Federal funds (Pell, SEOG, Direct Loans, etc...) are awarded with the expectation that you attend your classes and remain in school for the period of enrollment. If you withdraw (officially or unofficially), Federal regulations requires the College to calculate your eligibility for payment based upon the number of days you actually attended.
Priority Deadlines to Submit Verification Documentation for the 2022–2023 FAFSA
Students must be registered for the term of submission and have fully submitted all required documentation by the date according to their last term of attendance.
- Summer 2022 deadline is August 31, 2022
- Fall 2022 deadline is December 1, 2022
- Spring 2023 deadline is May 1, 2023
The 2023–2024 FAFSA is available to be filed as of October 1, 2022.
Note: All students should apply for financial aid every year. Students who missed the financial aid priority deadline are still encouraged to file the FAFSA and will be considered for federal student aid, if eligible, but institutional funds become increasingly limited and there is no guarantee that it will be available on your account by the time the bursar bill becomes due.
Note: Established federal processing deadlines prohibit the college from processing a 2022-2023 FAFSA after the student's last date of enrollment. Students who have not filed a FAFSA for the 2022-2023 academic year and who are no longer enrolled for the academic year would have then missed the deadline to be considered for Federal Student Aid programs for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Apply for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application is free, so be on your guard when searching for the FAFSA application: Filers should make sure that they use only the official Department of Education site.
