MyPassword is an identity management tool that all faculty and staff now have available for managing Network ID accounts for accessing York College network resources (desktop computers, wireless devices, email, VPN and library databases). By setting up a profile complete with challenge questions and answers, faculty, staff, and students now have a way of resetting their network account password and regain access to their account at all times as long as they are active. This tool is available both on and off campus once you set up your profile.
Please follow the instructions below in order to set up your MyPassword profile. Please note that this service will not reset passwords for other systems. It's only for your York issued network access account.
Go to MyPassword to set up your MyPassword Profile

Your Password must be at least 8 characters long.
It must contain at least one uppercase letter.
It must contain at least one numeric character OR one special character ($, #, @, ! and).

Once successfully completed, you will see a message stating, "You have successfully updated your profile". If you ever forget your password or if it expires, you can use the "Reset my password" link found on the same web page for MyPassword. You can access MyPassword while on campus and off campus. Setting up your MyPassword profile will save you time and effort while avoiding a lengthy authentication process should you have to call our Helpdesk for support due to not having your profile setup.
An additional step that can save you valuable time should you need support with passwords is to take advantage of adding an alternate email address to your contact information using the Identity and Contact Management tool "rDirectory". This email is only used for processing and establishing authentication when our clients call in with password issues. This expedites the password reset process while maintaining security protocols intact. For more information please visit rDirectory how to
