The José Peralta New York State DREAM Act

The Senator José Peralta New York State DREAM Act provides undocumented and other eligible students access to New York State–administered grants and scholarships that support higher education costs.

The DREAM Act expands access to financial aid opportunities, including:

• The Excelsior Scholarship

• The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

• Other New York State–administered scholarships and awards

These programs were previously unavailable to many undocumented students. The DREAM Act ensures that eligible students can apply for state financial aid to help cover tuition and other college-related expenses.

Students may apply through the New York State DREAM Act application portal.
