Professor Juana Ramos Gets Big News

Dr. Juana Ramos, a prolific poet and a professor in the York College Foreign Languagues department, has been honoredas poet of the year in her native El Salvador.

Professor Ramos was awarded by the Chifurnia Foundation in her homeland, within the framework of El Salvador's  National Day of Poetry.

"Professor Ramos never seizes to amaze us with her wonderful contributions to poetry and art worldwide," said Dr. Fabiola Salek, chair of York's Foreign Languages department, where Dr. Ramos teaches.
