CardinalQ

At the Kiosk click the service you want, and complete the quick form. You will be asked for:

• Your first name
• Your last name
• Your CUNYfirst EmpID
• Your cell phone number
• Your current student status
• Your Current Location (On Campus or Off Campus)

All student offices are represented in the  CardinalQ Main Kiosk. Each office may have a dedicated kiosk and or web page link for accessing their dedicated online version of the kiosk. Note, you can only be on one virtual line at a time.

1. Download the QLess App from the App store or Google Play.
2. Open the App once downloaded and select the CardinalQ line you wish to join.
3. Watch your CardinalQ app notifications for your place in line and the estimated wait time.

The app automatically provides you with services for your CardinalQ virtual lines. Please be aware that different offices have different business hours. If any of the offices are not open you will see a close sign while trying to access their specific kiosk. For hours of operation you can visit any office web page from the York College website.

• Welcome Center - Active and located by the Atrium in the Academic Core, service all students who need services from different departments including Admission services
• Bursar - Ready
• Registrar - Ready
• Financial Aid - Ready
• Health Services - Ready
• Advisement - Ready

Other departments will be added as this service expands.

Note, you can only be on one virtual line at a time.

You can use the transaction commands below when you are on the virtual line

L (Leave the queue) - use this command when you need to exit the line.

S (Status update) -use this command when you want an update of your wait time and place in line.

M (More time) -use this command to request additional time if you can't be in the area.

H (Help) - use this command to get additional assistance with CardinalQ.

W (Switch) - use this command to switch from text to voice call updates.

N# (Notify me in # minutes) - use this command to let CardinalQ know when to send an alert.

Using Text to get on the virtual line

Text message York QJoin or YorkQJoin to (347) 685-6323 to add yourself to a queue via SMS.

You will initially be prompted for what line you want to get on, then what service you need and that's it.

You're in!
