English Booster Workshops

The FREE booster support English workshop is for students who place in English 125 (Introduction to College Writing) and would like additional support during the semester to ensure that they earn the highest grade possible.

Workshop Details

• All Workshops Are Free
• Run one day a week for one and a half hours in the regular fall and spring semesters
• Provide support and help with the weekly work done in the credit class
• Taught by English professor who reinforces the work done in your regular English class 
• Booster English professor works together with your regular English professor  

Spring 2024 English Booster Workshop Offering

• February 5 - May 17, Fully Online with weekly Live Sessions on Thursdayss: 6:00 pm - 7:00pm or Fridays: 3:30 pm - 4:30pm

Registration

• Anytime During the Year: Email Success3@york.cuny.edu to Request Workshops, or
• During Registration or Late Registration Periods Go to Schedule Builder and select “2023 Fall”
• Search for “USIP 3003 ” (Introduction to College Writing Booster Skills Workshop) for English 125
• Choose section and click “Get This Schedule” at bottom right of screen
• Select “Enroll” in Action column from dropdown menu
• Select “Do Action”“Result” column on right side of screen will indicate booster workshop successfully added.
