Confidentiality is a central value at the Counseling Center. As in any other health care facility, all of your counseling records are considered private and confidential and are protected by law. However, there are certain circumstances in which confidentiality may not be protected, such as when a student is a danger to self or others or when a child or elder abuse is suspected.

Better Together Support Group

Better Together is a support group over videoconference for students who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an open group that meets every Thursday from 1pm-2pm during which students help one another through facilitated peer-support. If you have any questions about the group, please email Dr. Woods at ewoods1@york.cuny.edu or Dr. Smith at ssmith16@york.cuny.edu
