Our Services:
Mail Pickup and Delivery Schedule
- 10:00 - 12:00 Monday – Thursday for AC 2nd, 3rd, 4th floors
- 12:00 - 1:30 Monday – Thursday for AC 1st Floor, 2H corridor
- 1:30 - 2:30 Monday –Thursday for Science, Classroom, HPE, and PAC buildings
- 11:00 - 12:00 Friday for AC 1st Floor, 2H corridor
For your convenience, the mail chute is located on the door, room AC-LF06, and is available 24/7. Any mail drop in the chute during our business hours will be processed the same day.
**The deadline to process mail is 2:30 p.m. daily.**
Marketing Mail must be identical letters or post cards that can be sent to anyone on the list of criteria you are mailing to. To send a marketing mail requires a minimum of 200 or more addressees in an excel CSV format to be emailed to Marjorie Brun. The Excel file list and all mailing materials must be submitted to Mail Services 4 weeks prior to the date of the event. Please call Mail Services, extension 2120, if you are planning to send a Marketing Mail. We will schedule your job and give you further instructions
Packages sent via UPS will be delivered the next day within the Tri-State area. To send a pre-authorized package via UPS, bring the envelope or package to Mail Services, room AC-LF06, and send the following information via email to Marjorie Brun:
Full name, company, street address, and telephone number.

Mail Services is the online book distribution center for those students who have ordered their textbooks online and have opted to have the book delivered to the college. Upon receipt of the book, we contact the student, via e-mail and/or phone call, to inform the student that we have their book on campus and that the book is available for pick-up. A York College I.D. is required to pick-up a book. We offer this service Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. during the first four weeks of the semester.
We deliver print jobs (exams and non-exams) that were processed by Printing Services with the mail. When we deliver exams and/or packages and your office is closed, a “Sorry We Missed You” slip will be placed on your door with further instructions. If a delivery is missed, please pickup your print job from Mail Services (AC-LF06), or call extension 2120 for further information.
We require a minimum of 200 flyers or cards one week prior to the date of the event that will be distributed to all departments.
Interoffice mail has to be in the large or small interoffice envelopes. To avoid confusion, please cross out all prior names and/or departments that were written on these envelopes. These envelopes are recycled; we asked that all unused envelopes are returned to Mail Services to be redistributed.
We offer messenger services within the five boroughs. We require a 48-hour notice for this service so that it may be scheduled with the regular messenger services that we provide to the college community. Please call Mail Services, extension 2120 for further instructions.
*Please ensure that all messages have the correct information and include the following:
Name of company, contact name and telephone number, and full address.*
The inter-college messenger service collects and delivers mail that is going to other CUNY campuses daily. This service delivers mail from other CUNY campuses and picks up mail to other CUNY campuses at 11 a.m. daily. All mail going to any CUNY campus must be in our office, room AC-LF06, by 10 a.m.
We also have a folder and inserter machine that can fold and insert up to 2 sheets of plain paper in a #10 envelope.
**Note** This equipment cannot insert paper that has color graphic and the envelope must not be warped. Please call 2120 to be scheduled for this service.
Mail Services does not apply addresses on first-class metered mail. All mail must be properly addressed by the department in the following format:
- Full Name
- Company
- Street address, (apartment number)
- City, State, Zip
*All forwarding addresses should be in the center of the envelope.*
Certified Mail forms are available for College-related official mail in room AC-LF06.
***Faculty and Staff are prohibited from using College postal materials (packaging, stamps...), however, if you have personal mail that is prepared and stamped it can be sent with outgoing mail. Any personal mail that is dropped off without paid postage will be returned to sender.***
