CLIP Program Registration Information
General Registration
All Students* must attend one of the Registration/Orientation sessions in–person for the semester they are enrolling.
Check the dates below and choose one (1) session that best suits your schedule. ALL sessions require an appointment. Please schedule your appointment with Mrs. Claudia Hortua - Email: chortua@york.cuny.edu - Text: (929) 269-2587 - Phone: (718) 262-3733
Friendly Reminder:
- All NEW students must register and take the CLIP placement tests on the same day.
- Returning students who skipped one cycle or more must register and take the CLIP placement tests again.
Here is what you MUST Do before the Registration date
- Make an appointment with Mrs. Claudia Hortua.
- Create a Gmail account exclusively for CLIP academic purposes.
- Your New Gmail account MUST have the following format: firstname.lastname.clip@gmail.com (Each word separated by a period (.) only words NO numbers) Follow this Example: carlos.lopez.clip@gmail.com
- You will use your CLIP Gmail account to communicate with your teacher and the CLIP office and to join and post your work on Google Classroom
- Contact us if you need assistance creating your new Gmail account. Your new Gmail must be created prior to the orientation day.
The Day of the Registration
- Be on time.
- Bring a picture ID and payment (ONLY Money Orders)
- Be prepared to stay approximately 3 hours (Registration and Placement Tests will be done the same day.)
Spring 2024 Session Starts January 29th to June 6th
What You Should Expect This Semester
- Spring 2024 classes are In-Person. This cycle will start on January 29th and end on June 6th, 2024 (16 weeks)
- Schedule: Morning Program: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Evening Program: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- You will be meeting your instructor five (5) days a week in the classroom. Outside of class, you will be expected to complete all the assignments and projects each week.
- All Spring payments must be in money order only. Payment must be received by Thursday, January 25th, 2024.
Fees
- $180 for those who meet NYS one-year residency requirement
- $450 for those with less than the one-year NYS residency requirement
- $45 for students on Public Assistance, or in the SEEK or College Discovery programs

- Schedule: Morning Program: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm. Evening Program: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- You will be meeting your instructor five (5) days a week in the classroom. Outside of class, you will be expected to complete all the assignments and projects each week.
- All Fall payments must be in money order only. Payment must be received by Friday, September 1st, 2023.
Fees
- $180 for those who meet NYS one-year residency requirement
- $450 for those with less than the one-year NYS residency requirement
- $45 for students on Public Assistance, or in the SEEK or College Discovery programs

- Schedule: Morning Program: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Evening Program: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- You will be meeting your instructor five (5) days a week in the classroom. Outside of class, you will be expected to complete all the assignments and projects each week.
- All Summer payments: Must be in Money Order only. Payment must be received by Thursday, June 13th, 2024 by 3:00 pm.
Fees
- $75 for those who meet NYS one-year residency requirement
- $180 for those with less than the one-year NYS residency requirement
- $18 for students on Public Assistance, or in the SEEK or College Discovery programs
