Core Facilities

The Chemistry Department houses several instruments for research and educational purposes. The list of instruments includes an NMR spectrometer, electronic and vibrational spectrophotometers, an X-ray diffractometer, a differential scanning calorimeter, a peptide synthesizer, HPLC systems, an atomic force microscope, a scanning electron microscope, a dynamic light scattering particle analyzer, disintegration and dissolution testers, tablet hardness and friability testers, a tap density tester, a spin coater, and a plasma cleaner among others.

The instruments are open to all faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from York College and other local institutions. New users should contact the designated people listed below to use the instruments in the department.
