Resources for the undergraduate researchers

Getting Involved with Faculty-Mentored Scholarly Activity

There are several ways to get involved with undergraduate research at York College. Depending on the disciplines, some major courses are designed to have imbedded research/scholarly component. There are also independent courses offered by each discipline. Check with your department for course offerings and prerequisites. A student can also volunteer to work with a faculty facilitator. Professors throughout York College conduct scholarly work and are open to mentoring undergraduate researchers. Schedule a meeting with our esteemed faculty to learn more about their projects and find out how to join their research group. The Office of Undergraduate will help match student interest with a faculty mentor's scholarly goals.

Members of the York College Honors Program ( honors-program@york.cuny.edu) who are currently working on their thesis projects are undergraduate researchers, just register your project with us.

The Office of Undergraduate Research will help undergraduate researchers explore possibilities to get scholarship/internship awards. Research opportunities are available during the semester or in the summer months within York College or other campuses.
