Dear Cardinals!

Happy first day of the Spring 2026 semester! Even though we’re starting this term a little differently than planned, I’m excited to welcome you back and cheer you on as we begin a new chapter together.

The weather is frigid; it's 19 degrees, but it feels like 10degrees; and there is plenty of snow to start digging out from.  That’s why all York College operations — including classes — are fully online today.

But let me tell you this: cold weather is no match for Cardinal energy.

Whether you’re logging in from your kitchen table, your bedroom desk, or wrapped in a blanket burrito on the couch, today still represents a fresh start. A reboot. A chance to step into your goals with intention, motivation, and that signature York determination.

Here are a few quick reminders to help you kick off the semester strong:

• 💻 Check your email for updates from your professors.
• ☕ Stay warm — today is definitely a hot cocoa/tea/coffee kind of day.
• 📅 Show up for yourself, even if “showing up” today means clicking a Zoom link instead of walking across campus.
• 💬 Stay connected — reach out to classmates, advisors, and support offices. We are fully operational remotely and ready to help.
