Connect to eduroam

CUNY now offers free, secure Wi-Fi access via eduroam at campus and Central Office hotspots.

CUNY students, faculty and staff can configure an eduroam wireless network connection on their devices to access the internet through an eduroam Wi-Fi hotspot at CUNY or anywhere else in the world using their CUNY Login credentials. Visitors from other institutions participating in eduroam can access the internet through CUNY eduroam Wi-Fi hotspots as well. More information is available on the CUNY website.

If you received notification to update certificates which is preventing you from connecting to eduroam, you should delete your current eduroam WiFi connection, then go to cat.eduroam.org to download and install the latest configuration for your device.

Please note: After 8:00 PM on October 9, 2025, ALL eduroam users must reinstall/upgrade their device configurations or they will lose eduroam access.

This is a security certificate replacement, which means current configurations will stop working after the maintenance window. Users cannot simply reconnect—they must use the Configuration Assistant Tool to install the updated certificate. Users must update all devices (laptops, phones, tablets, etc.) by visiting https://cat.eduroam.org and following the prompts to download and install the new configuration. Instructions are also available on CUNY's eduroam webpage.
