Community Health Education

Community Health Education (BS) The Community Health Education program prepares students with the theory and praxis of program planning, intervention, outreach and advocacy, and the barriers to health equity. This multidisciplinary program facilitates the involvement of individuals, communities, and community-based organizations to promote health and well-being, improved health status, disease prevention, outreach and advocacy, and removing barriers to health equity. Upon completing the degree program, students can sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.

Health Education (Minor) The Health Education minor provides non-majors with an introduction to community health education and promotion, disease prevention, outreach and advocacy, and barriers to health equity.
