Mindful Self-Care and Implications for Practice in Healthcare by Professor Matthew Diner, Assistant Professor of Social Work.

Through empirical research, group discussions, and practical activities, this dynamic and interactive seminar invites participants to understand the role of mindfulness, self-awareness and self-care. Participants will be given the opportunity to identify and evaluate their own self-care practices, select specific and viable means to incorporate self-care into their daily lives and create a personal self-care plan. The workshop allows for an active discussion of research-informed measures that individuals, particularly, healthcare professionals can utilize to influence change and to improve self-care practices in the workplace, at the administrative and policy level.
