Public Safety a partner in NYC Emergency Management

York College Public Safety Department is now a member of NYC Emergency Management Partners in Preparedness program. NYCEM plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about preparedness, coordinates response and recovery, and collects and disseminates emergency information.

New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Partners in Preparedness (PIP) Program
Whether or not we want to admit it, our great city is vulnerable to all types of disasters — natural and man-made. Disasters impact the New York City business community in profound ways, including revenue loss, layoffs, and even bankruptcy. To support our commitment to disaster preparedness, York College Department of Public Safety has recently joined the New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Partners in Preparedness (PIP) Program, which helps organizations prepare their employees, services, and facilities for disasters.
By joining PIP, the department will have access to a wealth of preparedness resources, ranging from webinars and events to real-time emergency alerts through OEM. Please visit the Partners in Preparedness website to learn more!
As part of this process, we would like to encourage all of our employees/volunteers to sign up for Notify NYC, the City’s free, real-time emergency notification system. In just three easy steps, you’ll be registered to receive up-to-the minute emergency updates from OEM, updates that ensure you and your families are better prepared for emergencies.
Our employees/volunteers are our most valued resource. You and your work make our institution what it is today. Please help us become a Partner in Preparedness by registering with Notify NYC. Visit User Enrollment Agreement to register.
If you have any questions please ask, or visit the Notify NYC Frequently Asked Questions page.
