Fresh from its Broadway production in 2023, York College Theatre is excited to present Jocelyn Bioh’s acclaimed and newest play, Jaja's African Hair Braiding. Set in Harlem in 2019, it tells the story of six strong, hardworking West African women, their work, dreams, sacrifices, and spectacular fortitude as they strive to confront life in America on the hottest day of summer, and the air conditioner on the fritz!
