York Welcomes Chinese Delegation to Class

Chinese delegation visits York College to learn about ecological planning; design and management; and methods of beautifying and renewing urban areas

York College Interim President Berenecea J. Eanes (sixth from left – in pearls) and Accounting Professor Mary-Jo Kranacher (9th from left – in green) on Monday, October 28 (2019), welcomed a 25-member Chinese delegation from Zhejiang Province, China, seeking to learn about ecological urban and rural planning, design and management; and methods of beautifying and renewing urban areas.

York College professors are providing their expertise on these topics and, in addition, outside experts from the Queens Parks Commissioner's Office, the NYC Planning Commission, Farmingdale College, SUNY; and the Greater Jamaica Development Corp., will add to the dialogue. The visit will be spaced over several days.
