Areas of Expertise
- Professor Jackson is the outreach and assessment librarian. In addition, she is the liaison librarian for the Queens High School for the Sciences and the York Early College Academy. She has extensive experience in urban public librarianship, having served as both an adult and children's librarian. Her research interests include information literacy, library assessment, public librarianship, and how libraries can contribute to public health. In particular, she is interested in the development of information literacy skills in high school and undergraduate students, parental understanding of early literacy, and best practices in public libraries, including the impact of library policies and services on public library workers.
