Workplace Violence Prevention

The City University of New York (the “University” or “CUNY”) is committed to the prevention of workplace violence and will respond promptly to any threats and/or acts of violence.

Annual Workplace Violence Prevention Training is mandatory for all CUNY faculty and staff.  CUNY’s Office of Professional Development and Learning Management announced the reactivation of the Workplace Violence Training Prevention effective October 8, 2015. New York State Law mandates that all CUNY faculty and staff take the Workplace Violence Prevention training each year. The reporting period for compliance has changed and the deadline this year for compliance is July 31, 2016. However, we recommend that you take the training as soon as possible after it is offered to you by e-mail to ensure that you comply with CUNY’s policy.
