Library
York Library is open online during the Spring semester.
Reference Help
Librarians are working offsite and can be reached by chat or via email. Chat reference hours are between 9am-9pm Mon-Thu, 9am-6pm on Fri, and 9am-5pm on Sat. Use the chatbox on the right side of this page, or try our FAQs. Longer reference appointments can be scheduled using the research consultation form.
Library Resources
Library materials and resources can be accessed from off-campus by using your CUNY Login. (The CUNY Login is also used to access BlackBoard and CUNYfirst.) If you have problems logging in, please email us or use the chatbox on the right-hand side of the page. To learn more about what resources are available to support distance learning, visit our remote resources research guide.
Circulation Help
If you need assistance from Circulation/Reserve, please email library@york.cuny.edu or select the "Circulation Help" department via the chatbox on this page. Questions about library blocks, fines, or other circulation and reserve issues? Circulation staff are available to answer your questions via email or chat between 9am-9pm Mon-Thu, 9am-6pm on Fri, and 9am-5pm on Sat. You can also message a staff member on our Facebook page.
Fines and Renewals
In recognition of the extraordinary circumstances, overdue and recall fines will not be charged for books, DVDs, or equipment for the rest of the semester. Books from the stacks can be renewed up to nine times as long as another library patron does not place a recall. CUNY will be auto-renewing books and materials and waiving fines. These changes apply to faculty, staff, and students. To learn more, visit CUNY's statement on the continuity of library services.
