TA210 (Liberal Arts) History of Theatre 3 hrs. 3 crs. The development of Western Theatre from the classic Greek period to the modern era, with emphases on major plays and playwrights, various forms of theatrical presentation, architecture and design of theatres, and acting styles of each period. Readings in primary and secondary historical sources, discussions of representative plays, and analysis of their relationship to cultural and social settings. Preq: ENG 125.
