Middle States Accreditation

About the Middle States Accreditation Process

York College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). It is a voluntary non-governmental organization “dedicated to quality assurance and improvement through accreditation via peer evaluation.” MSCHE requires institutions such as York College to meet standards related to best practices in higher education.

In order to be re-accredited, institutions undergo a self-study every 10 years and submit a periodic review report at the 5-year point between self-studies. York College submitted a periodic review report in June 2013 and is currently undergoing self-study, with a visiting team expected to visit campus in Spring 2018.
