MSW  Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work  Social Work  1992
I have stumbled on the social work field after dabbling in some other vocations - studying mechanical engineering in the Soviet Union (where I was born and spent my formative years); working for a wine-importing company, attending a graduate business school, driving a cab in New York City, and raking blueberries in Maine. I found my true vocation in social work and never looked back. Worked my way up from case worker to clinic director earning graduate and doctoral degrees along the way. My abiding interest in the field of chronic mental illness led me to York College and subsequently to social work projects in Eastern Europe.

Areas of Expertise

Clinical social work - psychiatric settings; international social work
Emergency social work - hospital settings
