Professor Stephanie Store began her career in 1999 at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a staff registered nurse. She has held various leadership and teaching positions since that time. In 2010 Professor Store became a Family Nurse Practitioner and began to practice and care for patients in the community. She also began her career in Academia as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Nursing at York College in 2013 teaching students in various clinical settings and in the classroom. She received the Most Distinguished Adjunct Award from York College in 2016. Her passion for teaching, service, and scholarship developed, and she decided to pursue her doctorate and become a full time faculty in 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at York College CUNY. Since joining the faculty full time, Professor Store has participated in applying for a grant and is pursuing a certificate in Simulations.
