Professor Shirell Roeback, MSW, LCSW, is the Director of Field Education for the bachelors program and the Founding Director of Social Work Field Education for the masters social work (MSW) program. She is the coordinator for field placement and seminar courses, teaches generalist courses in the bachelor program and study abroad courses. She teaches clinical courses in the master social work program. Professor Roeback received her BA degree in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University (SUNY) and MSW from Fordham University. Prior to Professor Roeback’s employment as a full time faculty member of York College, she worked over 20 years as an administrator in various community organizations in the field of child welfare, mental health and youth services.
