Professor Shirell Roeback is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with "R" privileges (LCSW-R), a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program, and the Assessment Coordinator for the BSSW Program. She is the former Director of Practicum Education for the bachelor's program and the Founding Director of Social Work Practicum Education for the master's social work (MSW) program. Professor Roeback received her BA degree in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University (SUNY), MSW from Fordham University, and is a current PhD. student in psychology. Before her employment as a full-time faculty member of York College, she worked for over 20 years as an administrator in various community organizations in child welfare, mental health, and youth services.
