Raquel Coy is a Lecturer in the English Department. She's taught a range of courses, but especially enjoys working with students in first-year composition (English 125 and English 126) and in the Student Writing Workshop (English 199a). She believes that writing is an invaluable tool that can foster critical thinking in students. Her teaching emphasizes multimodal composition, media literacy, and the connection between critical thinking and literature. She currently serves as the Writing Program Director, providing pedagogical support and guidance for faculty teaching ENG 125, ENG 126, and WRIT 301/302/303/304 . As a York College alumna, she is dedicated to fostering student success and contributing to the college community.
