Harrynauth Persaud, MS, CLT, PA-C, is the Associate Professor and the Academic Coordinator of the PA program. He graduated twice from York College, with Bachelors of Sciences in Medical Technology in 2004 and Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. Mr. Persaud also completed his Master of Sciences Degree in Health Systems from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2008 and is currently completing his Doctor of Public Health Degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His health care experiences include many years as a Medical Assistant, Medical Technologist and as a Physician Assistant where he worked in Primary Care serving the community of Jamaica, Queens and also in the hospital setting at St. Francis Hospital, in Long Island, in areas of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is also published in the peer reviewed Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

International Medical Mission – providing free medical care to the underserved people of Brandon Hill, Clarendon in Jamaica, WI: 7/13/14 – 7/20/14.

Developed and Implemented an Asthma Management Intervention Program for Diaspora Community Service (a non-for-profit) organization serving the low socioeconomic population of Downtown Brooklyn. The intervention was delivered to the youth of Diaspora, focused on medication adherence and decreased hospitalization related to asthma: 1/2015 - 4/2015.
