Billy Metallinos has a Doctorate of Higher Education from Concordia University, a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Science and Space Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from York College, CUNY. Dr. Metallinos serves in the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary, as a Mission Pilot and in several additional capacities, including Emergency Services Officer, Aerospace Education Officer, Character Development Instructor, Recruiting and Retention Officer, and Chaplain Support Specialist. Dr. Metallinos is an FAA-certificated Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot and a Commercial Pilot with Single-Engine Land and Sea ratings, an Instrument rating, and High-Performance, Complex, and Tailwheel endorsements. He also holds FAA Advanced Ground and Instrument Airplane Instructor certificates and has his Multi-Engine Land rating.
