Auditions - York College Theatre

Auditions for the York College Theatre Spring 2018 Shows!

Seeking actors, singers, and dancers.... Everyone is welcome!

HAIR - the musical

The Revolution Continues!

It's 1968 on Lower East Side of NYC and the youth of America are struggling to understand their place in a nation corrupted by oppression, greed, and senseless brutality. Join them as they rebel against the status quo. Speak out for civil rights - enlist in the war of resistance - join the sexual revolution! Let the sunshine in, and rejoice as song, dance, and love trumps hate!

• EVERYONE will be asked to sing something a capella (that means, without music.  So no need to bring in sheet music, or a recording.) It would be great if you could do 32 bars of a pop, rock, gospel, or country song, or something from the show - BUT singing Happy Birthday will do also!  So don't let the singing scare you off.  We want to hear everyone!
• You also may be asked to stay to read sides (scenes) from the script.
• Those who receive a callback will be asked to dance and move. Callbacks TBD
