York's PA Students Represent the Profession and College at 'PAs on the Plaza'

During the annual PA Week celebration in October, York College's Physician Assistant students celebrated with other PAs and PA students across the state, representing and advocating for the profession.

A delegation of both junior and senior didactic students donned their white coats and displayed large hand-made signs, as they gathered in Rockefeller Center in New York City in support of the PA profession.

“I am very proud of our students for taking this initiative," said Dr. Harrynaud Persaud, Associate Director, York's PA Program. "This demonstrates our students’ dedication and passion for the profession, and their pursuit of equality and inclusiveness. This representation sends a strong message, well aligned with our program and York College’s mission.”

PA students interacted with leaders from the New York State Society of PAs and took pictures with NBC’s Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie. They were also featured on the website of the national association (American Academy of PA).
