Continuing and Professional Education Center Restructuring
York College Continuing and Professional Education Center (CPEC) has proudly been a leader in providing educational, workforce training, recreational, entrepreneurship and self-enrichment programs and courses to local residents over the past four decades.
As with all units of the College, periodic assessment is necessary for continued improvement. In 2018, CPEC underwent such a review. Following this assessment, the College decided to temporarily suspend all fee-based continuing education programs, courses, and services, effective October 31, 2019. This time will allow the College to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and redesign of CPEC, to ensure that program offerings in the future are aligned with the current and future needs of local residents across their lifespans and are responsive to twenty-first-century workforce demands.
We thank our community and CUNY partners for their past support and look forward to resuming these essential relationships at the earliest opportunity through a new and strategically positioned Continuing and Professional Education Center.
Please note that the temporary suspension of fee-based programs does not affect the Adult Learning Center or the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which continue to function normally.
