Once again and York again leaned into the onset of the holiday season with a Thanksgiving feast for the entire college community of students, faculty and staff.
Sponsored by the Student Government Association and the Office of Student Activities, the event took place on Thursday, November 21, one week before the official Thanksgiving holiday, during which time the college is closed.
The menu included the usual fare of turkey “with all the trimmings,” as well as macaroni and cheese, vegetables, candied yams…and a variety of desserts. The event was made all the more festive as the diners were also serenaded by a live band headed by Music Professor Mark Adams. The college serves a Thanksgiving meal twice for the day each year, one for the daytime community and another for the evening shift. Kosher and halal options are always provided and served as tradition dictates as well.
