Exoneree who spoke at York gains $18 million settlement

A man helped by Prof. William Hughes in his bid to overturn a wrongful murder conviction, gets $18 million from New York City.

Upon his release from prison in 2015 after 25 years, Johnny Hincapie, came to York College to tell his riveting story to a standing-room-only audience in the college's Little Theater. Professor Hughes (pictured) used his investigative reporter's skills in his role on the team to help clear Mr. Hincapie, who was 18 at the time of his arrest.
