MSA's Ramadan Iftar Dinners: Gatherings of Unity and Reflection
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at York College completed two successful Ramadan Iftar Dinners at the Academic Core Building Faculty Dining Room on March 13 and March 18. Students, their families, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate this meaningful events, which fostered unity and gratitude among them.
Everyone was warmly welcomed with As-salāmu ʿalaykum and received heartfelt Ramadan Mubarak wishes during the events. Participants savored traditional dishes at York College's community gathering while engaging in meaningful conversations reinforcing community bonds.
The achievements of the events demonstrate the hard work of the MSA Executive Board and its organizing team, which included President Rehab Ahmed, Vice President Ahmed Elromi, Treasurer Doaa Albaadani, and Secretary Reema Alkutaini under the supervision of Faculty Advisor Mohammed J. Sarwar. The event organizers demonstrated their dedication to forming a friendly and supportive environment for everyone present throughout the evening.
The MSA thanks Dr. Dan Matte, York's administrative events specialist, and Joery François, administrative coordinator of the Office of Student Activities, their support ensured the programs ran without any issues.
The Iftar Dinners demonstrated York College's strong community ties and the critical necessity of building environments that make all individuals feel appreciated and bonded.
