York's NABA Student Members Celebrate

The York College chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants recently hosted a delightful "brunch mixer" to close out the semester's hard work as Accounting and other majors.

"The event brings together some of our campus recruitment partners, faculty, and students to celebrate the accomplishments of NABA over the past year, over brunch and games," their invitation stated.

The NABA Inc., is described as "a non-profit association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for Black professionals in accounting, finance, entrepreneurship and related business professionals." Under the leadership of Professor Robert Clovey, York accounting students have in the past, been afforded the opportunity to attend national conferences in Las Vegas and elsewhere to network and learn more about their field. NABA's moto, "Lifting As We Climb" speaks clearly to the organization's goal.
