York Colleagues 'Let it Rip' on the Mike Gilliam Show
Dr. Michele Gregory, a Sociology professor and Dr. Ebonie Jackson, director of the Women's Center for Gender Justice, were recently featured on CUNY TV's Mike Gilliam Show, "Let It Rip."
The York College colleagues were on a panel and participated in the discussion about basketball player Brittany Griner's recent release from a Russian jail and "the right-wing backlash she has faced. Additionally, they addressed the issues of legalization/decriminalization of cannabis and the wage gap and lack of pay equity for professional female athletes.
"It was my pleasure to be featured alongside Dr. Gregory for such a timely and important discussion, said Dr. Jackson, who often serves as moderator for some York events.
For her part, Dr. Gregory also had kind words for Dr. Jackson, "I cannot convey how fortunate I was to be paired with Ebonie Jackson on the Mike Gilliam Show, said Dr. Gregory. "On these shows not all footage can be kept due to time constraints, so to spend time with Ebonie and really listen to her analyses far beyond what you see on the show, was simply priceless."
