#Throwback Thursday: PA Students Represent!

York College Physician Assistant Students in Times Square

During the kickoff to the annual celebration of Physican Assistant (PA) Week in October, York College's students celebrated with PAs and other PA students from across the state as part of "PAs on the Plaza," when representatives from the profession gather outside of popular national morning news shows. A delegation of York PA didactic students gathered outside of the Good Morning America studio in Times Square, displaying a York College banner and posters in support of the PA profession. The students interacted with leaders from the New York State Society of PAs and took pictures with ABC’s Medical Correspondent, Dr. Darien Sutton. “We are always very proud of our students when they take the initiative to advocate for our profession and patients," said Assistant Professor Jason Herel, the academic coordinator of York's PA Program. "These students demonstrated their dedication and passion for the profession and its goal of promoting equality and inclusiveness in medicine. This representation sends a strong message that aligns well with our program and York College’s mission.”
