Economic and Workforce Development Assessment

Mission

The York College Office of Economic and Workforce Development will prepare program participants for higher education and 21st Century careers by providing high-quality instruction and services that lead to employment and/or higher education degrees. The OEWD also helps to strengthen the operations of area businesses and orchestrates experiential learning opportunities for York students and program participants through StartUP NY, the SBDC, Continuing Education and the Learning Center. To further its goals in South Queens, the OEWD partners with regional public and private economic and workforce development agencies and employers. To gauge success, the OEWD will regularly monitor progress to ensure measurably increasing levels of positive outcomes for the community and region.
