Dr. Myeshia C. Babers of the Department of History, Philosophy, and Anthropology invites you to a special talk by Ms. Joanna M. Briley, Founder of the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest.

Joanna M. Briley is a New York City-based comedian, actor, and writer, and the founder of the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. She created the festival in response to the absence of Black women on the programs of national comedy festivals and NYC showcases, and she previously managed and later served as Senior Manager of Comedy Development at the Brooklyn House of Comedy.
