Dr. Stephanie Store, PhD, FNP, CLC, CHC, CHSE, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at York College, City University of New York. Her diverse clinical background as a Family Nurse Practitioner and neonatal intensive care nurse informs her teaching, research, and commitment to community health. Dr. Store joined York College as full-time faculty in 2018 after serving as an adjunct since 2013. She is a recipient of the CUNY Excellence in Teaching Award (2024) and the York College Nursing Department's Most Distinguished Adjunct Award (2016). Her scholarly work focuses on health disparities, nursing education, remediation strategies, simulation, and culturally responsive care. Dr. Store has secured multiple research grants, including three PSC-CUNY Traditional A awards and participating in research funding from the federally supported Holistic Study of Health Disparities Initiative (HSHDI). Her recent research explores bereavement in communities impacted by COVID-19 and the use of technology in addressing health disparities. Dr. Store is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, including Nurse Educator. She presents regularly at national and international nursing and education conferences. A passionate educator, Dr. Store holds advanced certifications in simulation, effective college instruction, lactation consulting, and health coaching. Her commitment to student success is reflected in her leadership in curriculum development, particularly in her collaboration in the creation of an an IBCLC certification pathway at York College. Dr. Store continues to mentor future nurses while addressing the pressing health needs of underserved communities.
