Dr. Selena T. Rodgers is Professor and the Chairperson of the Department of Social Work (elected 2022). She is Founding Director and Program Chief Administrator of the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at CUNY York College making her the first to lead the first accredited graduate social work program in Queens, New York, and the first African American to serve in this role within CUNY’s social work history. She is also an Affiliate Professor in the PhD Social Welfare Program at the CUNY Graduate Center, an alumna and expert evaluator for the U.S. Department of State Fulbright Specialist Program, and a certified site visitor for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Board of Accreditation. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R) who earned her MSW from Syracuse University and Ph.D. in Social Work from Adelphi University.
