Dr. Qin Yang Latchman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at York College, CUNY, and Program Director for the Physical Education PreK–12 and Health Education PreK–12 programs. She holds a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a focus on Adapted Physical Education from Texas Woman’s University, an M.S. in Sport Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a B.A. in Physical Education from East China Normal University. Her research focuses on physical activity interventions, adapted and inclusive physical education, and the use of movement to support learning, health, and well-being. Her work connects research with practice to promote inclusive learning environments and prepare future educators.
