Dr. Remi Alapo is a Substitute Assistant Professor [as of Fall 2026] at York College’s History, Anthropology and Philosophy Department. She lectures in the Cultural Diversity and Black Studies Programs. Her interests include migrant experiences, decolonized historical truths, culturally sustaining classrooms, anti-racist pedagogies, post-colonial Studies, and gender equity. Dr. Remi Alapo is part of the social justice committee at the History Department and is co-advisor to the African Student Association and OASIS Christian Club at York College.
