Dr. Toussaint Jacques studies how information is surfaced, evaluated, and recommended within rapidly changing digital environments. Her scholarship began with questions about how social-media platforms shape public understanding and has expanded to examine artificial intelligence systems, particularly how large language models determine which sources to trust and cite, including in health and other high-stakes areas. This work reflects a broader interest in the relationship among technology, information credibility, and human decision-making. She combines scholarly research with applied experience as the founder of ChatifyIT, an AI platform that helps people share their expertise and grow an audience, and she regularly mentors and collaborates with student researchers. Ultimately, her work seeks to help people live and work with AI by examining: what information AI systems elevate and treat as credible; how people evaluate and respond to AI-generated information; how AI is changing jobs, skills, and workplaces; and where human judgment and oversight remain necessary.
