Dr. Rashid is an Assistant Professor at York College, City University of New York (CUNY), where he integrates 25 years of academic rigor with industry experience. His career reflects a strong commitment to bridging theory and practice, enhancing the relevance of his teaching and research. Prior to his role at York College, Dr. Rashid led the SCM faculty at Iqra University, Pakistan, where he demonstrated leadership and mentorship. Dr. Rashid has published over 60 papers in top-tier journals, authored books and chapters, and actively participates in international conferences as a session chair and presenter. He is also involved in the broader SCM community, serving on editorial boards, including as Editor-in-Chief, and contributing as a reviewer for multiple journals. His leadership extends to organizing conferences and colloquiums, and he was a member of the Publication Committee for the 4th ICBM conference in Malaysia. In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Rashid has received several accolades, including being named a Career Success Fellow 2024-25 by the Centre of Transformation, New York. He is a facilitator for the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Collaborative and a key participant in CUNY’s ACUE initiative to implement AI in teaching. His dedication to advancing education is further reflected in his roles on the Advisory Board for Seed Funding on Curriculum and NACE Career Competencies and as a member of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Educational Technologies (CTLET) Advisory Board. Dr. Rashid frequently delivers sessions on Global Production and Supply Chain Management at various business schools and hosts the "Business and Economics Talk" series, engaging experts from around the world. His contributions to academia and industry solidify his standing as a thought leader and advocate for innovation in Supply Chain Management.
