Social Work Field Education Symposium

MSW Scholars engage with agency supervisors and baccalaureate social work majors will share theoretical and conceptual contributions from the classroom and field settings.

MSW Scholars, Shantel Lewis (MercyFirst) and Da-Nisha Banton (Transition Academy, Medgar Evers College) were among field supervisor presenters, LaChandra Marcell-Moor (not in picture) (NYS Senator Kevin Parker), Arlene Noble (Jamaica Hospital), Ebele Bryan (Brookdale Family Care Center), and Lizbeth Mendozza (Queens Community House). Social work scholars enrolled in the baccalaureate program also attended. The symposium provided an opportunity for MSW Scholars to engage with agency supervisors and baccalaureate social work majors and share theoretical and practice contributions from classroom to generalist practice and healthcare settings with emphasis on social work competencies with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
