York College Theatre announces auditions for its Spring 2015 musical, AIDA by Elton John and Tim Rice.  This production directed by Timothy J. Amrhein and music direction by Jonathan Quash, features songs by the team behind THE LION KING.  The winner of four Tony Awards, AIDA is set in ancient Egypt and tells the story of an enslaved Nubian princess, her conflicted Egyptian captor, and a forbidden love that rocks the ancient world to its core. Part Broadway musical, part dance spectacular and part rock concert, AIDA is an epic tale about the power and timelessness of love.

What To Prepare:

Please prepare 2 songs (1 verse & chorus each), in the style/genre of popular music or musical theatre - not necessarily from the show. The selections should show your vocal and acting skills as well as your ability to move to the music. Please be prepared to sing unaccompanied or if your prefer, bring you tracks as MP3’s, MP4’s or CD. Also please bring a current performance resume and headshot.
