Transfer Credit Evaluation

How and where to get your transcripts evaluated.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

  • The evaluation of transfer credits is completed by the Office of the Registrar upon receipt of the application from the Admissions Office. Transfer credit can only be awarded for schools listed on the student's entry application.
  • Students can also receive a courtesy tentative evaluation by submitting a  copy of their transcript directly to the Registrar's Office.
  • Either evaluation can be used for advisement purposes. Bring the evaluation to the academic advisor for advisement.
  • Transfer students from other CUNY colleges are encouraged to visit CUNY's online Transfer Information and program Planning System (CUNY TIPPS) for information about transfer credit.  www.tipps.cuny.edu. (For reference purposes only.)
  • York College will accept a maximum of 68 credits from a
